Here on the beautiful Cornell campus, we find certain distasteful voices that although need not be answered directly, have been allowed free rein over public attention. This must be changed. We at Turn Left strive to serve as the liberal voice on campus. We hold that all human beings are created equal. We believe in the optimistic view that all can achieve great things if allowed the opportunity. Surveys show that Americans consistently prefer freedom over equality, but the two concepts are not distinct. When we abandon equality in pursuit of freedom, profits, or ideology, we lose moral decency because we take the easy way out. Three engineers realized one night that discussions among themselves will not accomplish much, and a publication was born. From here on, the best is yet to come. May freedom thrive for all for ages to come.     Want more students to see our paper?
